Keep your Japanese knives razor-sharp with this synthetic ruby (corundum) sharpening rod. Harder than even the toughest steels (3000 grit), it’s designed for fine edge maintenance on high-quality knives. Perfect for daily or weekly honing without damaging the blade.
Important: Regular steel sharpening rods are not suitable for Japanese knives, as they are softer than the knife steel and ineffective. Only ceramic or corundum sharpening rods are appropriate for these hard steels.
